Anna was born in Sigulda and takes her first training there at the Riga Ballet School. Anna completes her training at the Ballet School of the Hamburg Ballet John Neumeier, where she has been engaged since 2001.
With a grant from the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation, she takes part as a student at the program Jondering Exchange of the Hamburg Ballet School and the National Ballet School in Toronto in 2000.
In 2006, John Neumeier creates the role of The Young Lady Who Never Laughs for Anna in his ballet Parzival - Episodes and Echo.
Her repertoire includes the Queen in Sleeping Beauty, Rosalinde in Romeo and Juliet and the solos in the Songs Of The Night and Jewels (Emeralds / Rubies) by George Balanchine.
2008 Anna becomes soloist with the Hamburg Ballet John Neumeier. In the ballet Orpheus by John Neumeier Anna dances the role of Calliope, which is created for her. The premiere takes place in November 2009.
2011 Anna and Edvin Revazov dance Epilogue in the choreography by John Neumeier, the 5th Symphony, Adagietto, from Gustav Mahler at the Prix de Lausanne. 2011 her appointment as a Principal of the Hamburg Ballet is held.
At the Nijinsky Gala XL 2014 Anna is dancing under the motto Russia: music, theme, content and dancers, the role of Marguerite Gautier with Edwin Revazov as her partner in the role of Armand Duval from act 3 of the ballet The Lady of the Camellias as well as the role of Myrtha in the new ballet production of Giselle by John Neumeier.
