Sabina was born in Zurich.
1982-85 she completes a training as a dancer at the Colombo Dance Factory and visits the Ballettschule für das Opernhaus Zürich.
She also studies singing and takes lessons in phonetics and role study.
Engagements follow in the German premiere of Cats in Hamburg and La cage aux folles in Berlin.
After the Kleine Niederdorfoper at the Corso Theater Zurich she plays the Gilberte de Courgenay on the stage of Zurich's Bernhard Theater.
Rolf Lyssy committs Sabina Schneebeli for the comedy et moi .... et moi beside Stephanie Glaser at the Hechtplatz Theater in Zurich.
A scholarship from the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation enables Sabina a further training at the European Film Actors School, EFAS.

With the lead role in Die Direktorin in the 1990s, she appears the first time in the spotlight. Since then, she can be seen regularly in the movies and television.
Directed by Michael Steiner, Sabina acts in Spital in Angst and Mein Name is Eugen, which wins the Swiss Film Prize in 2006.
Das Geheimnis von Murk by Sabine Boss, in which she plays the female lead role of Sarah, receives 2008 the Audience Award at the Solothurn Film Festival. In the same year she wins the Prix Walo in the category of Best Actress.
Sabina is married to the German actor Bernhard Bettermann.
