Oksana was born in Vladivostok, Russia.
1988 to 1993 she attends the State Choreographic Institute in Novosibirsk for her training as a ballet dancer.
In 1992 she participates at the first International Diaghilev Competition in Moscow, where she reaches the finale, as well as at the Siberian Ballet Competition in Novosibirsk, where she wins the first price.
1993 Oksana wins the Prix de Lausanne as well as the Prix des Téléspectateurs of the competition.
She wins a scholarship for one academic year at the famous Royal Ballet School London.
1994 to 1995 she continues her training there with a scholarship from the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation.
In August 1995, Oksana becomes a member of the Birmingham Royal Ballet.
