This week we are pleased to introduce the renowned John Neumeier—American ballet dancer, choreographer, and director of Hamburg Ballet and the Hamburg Ballet School—one of the greatest choreographers and artistic leaders of our time.
For decades, he has shaped the world of dance in Hamburg, Germany and far beyond. His vision, artistic depth, and unmistakable style continue to inspire dancers and audiences worldwide. In 1973 he founded the Hamburg Ballet, and in 1978 the Hamburg Ballet School, nurturing generations of young talent.
A long-standing collaboration connects the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation and the Hamburg Ballet School, united by a shared commitment to excellence in dance education and artistic development. His legacy with the Hamburg Ballet remains an international benchmark of quality and creativity.
