Antonio Simeone: A Dancer of Passion and Perseverance
Roman dancer Antonio Simeone is a promising young talent on the Italian dance scene. At this year’s Roma Danza Prize, he achieved second place in the Senior category of the Interpretation section – an award that highlights both his artistic expressiveness and his technical skill.
Simeone was particularly moved by the recognition of our Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation, which honored him with a monetary award. “This support is not only a great honor for me, but also a concrete and valuable help on a path that is not always easy,” the young artist emphasized.
Coming from modest circumstances, Simeone lives in Rome, where he pursues his studies at the Accademia Nazionale di Danza with dedication. To finance his training, he takes on small part-time jobs – a balancing act that often forces him to limit valuable training hours. “Ballet requires not only passion and discipline, but also strict and constant training, which I cannot always fully commit to because of my living conditions,” he explains.
This is why the Foundation’s support is so meaningful to him: it gives him the opportunity to continue his education more intensively and to devote himself more fully to the care of his body and technique. “Your help is much more than an award: it is an encouragement to keep believing in my artistic journey,” Simeone says with deep gratitude. With this combination of talent, discipline, and humility, Antonio Simeone stands as an example of a new generation of dancers who, despite challenges, pursue their dream with unwavering determination – driven by passion and the firm will to one day conquer the world’s stage.
