Tanaka Roki, came from Zimbabwe to Germany and Switzerland 7 years ago and such a success.
Tanaka Lionel Roki was born in Zimbabwe. He received his dancer diploma in Zurich at the Higher School of Contemporary and Urban Stage Dance. This was followed by another study in contemporary dance at the ZHdK, where he completed his bachelor's degree. From 2017-2019, he was supported in both studies for one year each by the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation through scholarships, a foundation dedicated to the promotion of dance and music at a highly professional level since 1990. During his studies, Roki had the opportunity to work with many international choreographers. Another highlight of his career was his participation as a dancer in the international solo dance festival Stuttgart: he danced the solo with which the Swiss choreographer Muhammed Kaltuk won the competition in 2020. The dancer, who is called "Roki", regularly imparts his many years of experience in the field of contemporary dance and hip-hop in dance workshops.
