Luminita studies at the National Ballet School in Toronto and receives a scholarship from the Pierino Ambrosoli during her time at school.
After her training, she did an internship with the National Ballet of Canada and ibecomes then a member of the corps de ballets from 1996 until 1998.

1999 Luminita changes from the National Ballet of Canada to the State Opera Ballet Munich.
