Alexander Carbonaro

2005

Alexander was born in Melbourne, Australia, and there he gets his first dance education at the Victorian College of the Arts.

2003-2005 he continues his studies at the Atelier Rudra Lausanne, Switzerland.

His participation at the Swiss audition of the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation for the Rotterdam Dance Academy as well as a scholarship from the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation enables Alexander to finish his education in contemporary dance at the Rotterdam Dance Academy.

At the Japanese Saturday School he choreographs and performs a piece by live violin music on the annual Japan Day in Rotterdam in November 2005 and he has an internship with the Nederlands Historisch Dans- en Theaterensemble followed by two performances in magnificent castles in the North of Holland in February 2006. Theme of the project is about the stories of the famous British writer, Jane Austin.

2012 Alexander graduates with the Bachelor in Arts in Dance at the Rotterdam Dance Academy and becomes member of the International Danstheater in Amsterdam. Artistic Director is Jan Linkens.

After nearly nine years Alexander leaves The Netherlands and lives in La Californie /Cannes, France.
