Scholarships since 1990

The Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation has awarded 251 scholarships within the past 29 years.
About them were granted 125 to the field of classical dance, 47 contemporary dance, dance apprentice 13, choreography 3, music 39, musical* 1, circus artistes 4, film* 5, dance theatre 2, physical theatre 9, theatre school* 1, dance journalism* 1 and retraining 1 scholarship. 11 Swiss Auditions have been organized for the Rotterdam Dance Academy.

Jonas Aumiller*, 1998, DE

Born in Munich in 1998 starts playing the piano at the age of seven. He is initially taught by Cornelia Nonn-Jordache, in May 2013 he starts his tuition with Prof. Massimiliano Mainolfi (former scholarship holder of the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation).

Since 2008, he has won several First Prizes at the "Jugend musiziert" competition in various categories at regional, state and national level, he wins the 1st prize with special distinction at the 8th International Piano Competition.

In May 2013, he visits the Federal President Joachim Gauck at Schloss Bellevue. With his Piano Quartet he wins the WDR Klassik Prize of the city of Münster in June 2013 and the following September, as the Piano-Cello-Duo the special prize of the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs.

In 2014 Jonas wins the 1st Prize of the Schumann Junior Competition in Zwickau and the 1st Prize of the 'Bundeswettbewerb Jugend'.

Jonas wins the 2nd prize in category B (participants, born after 3 August 1997) at the International Competition for Young Pianistsin Ettlingen (GER) in August 2018.

Jonas is a scholarship holder of the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation.


Gonca Gümüsayac, *1983, TR

Born in Izmir Turkey, Gonca’s acting starts when she begins to work at the Istanbul States Theatre, she also acts  as a choreographer at Van State theatre, later she organizes street performances with activist soul.

In 2010 at the DVB Lloyd Newson and Hannes Langolf, a dance platform in Istanbul, she is selected as one of the 6 dancers, among 230 professional dancers. following by small scale street theatre projects.

During 2013-2015 she performances in a dance piece called “Liquid Politics” inspired by the Gezi Park protests and social movements, this piece is presented also in 2016 as her final thesis.

In 2015 she performs in  «The Ash Child», where she acts covered in ashes, representing the war’s bombings.

In 2016 she creates a short dance movie “Re-birth”, which gained the best performer prize in Cinema Dance Ankara, film festival.

In 2017 “re-birth” is awarded with the “Promising dance film director award” at the Brussels International Dance Film Festival.

2018-2019 Scholarship of the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation for her Masters of Arts in Theatre (specialization in Physical Theatre) at the Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Verscio (CH).


Koyo Yamamoto*, 2001, JP

Born in Tokyo.


Intensive dance lessons at the Acri Horimoto Ballet Academy. Classical and contemporary dance.


Japan Grand Prix: 1st. Prize, Japan.
Ballet Competition in Yokohama: 1st. Prize, Japan.


Tanz Akademie Zürich: takes part at the Ballettwerkstatt at the Theater der Künste, Zurich
Prix de Lausanne: Winner of the Prix de Lausanne full scholarship.
The Nihon Ballet Association (NBA) Competition: 1st Prize, Japan.

Born in Camposampiero (PD), Italy. Lorenzo begins his ballet training at the Free Harmony Dance School in Bolzano Vicentino (VI), IT. Changes 2014 to a new school: Il Balletto, Castelfranco Veneto. Since 2011, Lorenzo attends various ballet competitions and workshops.  2015 Lorenzo starts his training at the Zurich Dance Academy TAZ. 2016 and 2017 Lorenzo is awarded with a scholarship of the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation.


Tanaka Lionel Roki, *1996, ZW

Born in Zimbabwe, Africa. As a child in Harare, Tanaka discovers his passion for dance. Since 2009 he has been practicing every day in dance animation, an urban dance style technique, which he combines playfully with elements of house, hip hop, break dance and popping. In 2014, he was awarded as the best hip-hop dancer of the year. In 2015, he performs with the production "twenty.fifteen" of Kuenda Productions at the Harare International Festival of the Arts. A tour in Germany follows. After this he joins Tanzwerk 101 in Zürich to train as a professional dancer. 2017 he is awarded with a Scholarship of the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation for his last year of training.


Salvatore Mulone, *1995, IT

Born in Rome.  
2010 - 2011 Student of the Accademia Nazionale di Danza, Rome.
2010 Finalist at the Premio Roma Danza.
2013 -2014 Student at the TAZ Zurich, with a scholarship from the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation.
2014 Gold medal at the Berliner Tanzolymp.
2016 - 2017 Member of the Primorsky Stage Academic Mariinsky Theatre in Vladivostock, Siberia.
2017 - 2018

Member of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Dachenko Music Theatre in Moscow with a scholarship from the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation.

Born in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
2011 Education at the Casa de Teatro in Porto Alegre at Carlota Albuquerque, director of the CIA TERPSI dance theater.
2013 Engagement at the Campania TERPSI and the Gruppo Experimental de Dança de Porto Alegre.
2016 Choreographer for the play MOSCAS, directed by Gabriela Poester, in Porto Alegre.

Enters the Accademia Teatro Dimitri, Verscio (CH) for the Bachelor of Arts and Theatre.
